Job Summary:
The company is seeking an experienced Electrical Fabrication Designer to support complex electrical system design and fabrication efforts. This role is heavily focused on Revit modeling, interdisciplinary coordination, and production of highly detailed fabrication-ready models. The designer will own electrical layouts from concept through final coordination while ensuring code compliance and constructability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop highly detailed electrical fabrication models using Revit to a fabrication-ready level of development
• Model cable trays, conduit, conduit bodies, supports, and threaded rod assemblies with precision
• Route electrical systems efficiently while maintaining clearances and constructability requirements
• Ensure full compliance with the National Electric Code throughout the design process
• Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, and engineering teams to resolve clashes
• Lead model review and flythrough meetings using Revizto or Navisworks
• Perform beam reviews and validate routing accuracy prior to design release
• Manage multiple design packages simultaneously while meeting aggressive schedules
Required Qualifications:
• Several years of hands-on experience in electrical fabrication design using Revit
• Strong working knowledge of National Electric Code requirements including wire pulling, bend limitations, and conduit sizing
• Proven experience delivering clash-free, high-detail fabrication models
• Experience leading coordination meetings and presenting models to stakeholders
• Ability to manage concurrent projects with minimal oversight
Preferred Qualifications:
• Background in construction coordination and field verification
• Advanced electrical design experience in complex facilities
• Ability to rapidly adopt new visualization and coordination tools
• Strong organizational and communication skills
