Position Details:
Duration: 6-month contract ( potential extension based on business needs)
Location: Worcester, MA 01605 — 100% Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $34.00 - $39.00 per hour
- Support LC-MS–based bioanalysis and method development for biologic therapeutics in a non-regulated preclinical research environment.
- Perform immuno-affinity purification, digestion, and sample preparation of biologic entities, including:
- Monoclonal antibodies
- Bispecific antibodies
- Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs)
- Antibody–siRNA conjugates
- Fusion proteins
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot LC/MS instruments to generate high-quality experimental data (hands-on execution required).
- Develop, optimize, and implement LC/MS methods to meet assay specificity and sensitivity requirements.
- Analyze experimental data and accurately document results in electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs).
- Prepare technical reports and present data at internal and cross-functional meetings.
- Collaborate with project teams to support PK, TK, and PK/PD studies.
- Maintain a high level of scientific rigor, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced laboratory setting.
- Work independently while contributing effectively within a team-based research environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, OR
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Hands-on experience directly working with LC-MS equipment (support-only experience is not acceptable).
- SCIEX triple quadrupole (QQQ) LC-MS experience — REQUIRED and non-negotiable.
- Strong analytical chemistry/bioanalysis background.
- Proven LC-MS–based bioanalysis experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech industry setting.
- Hands-on experience with biologics bioanalysis.
- Experience with immuno-affinity purification techniques.
- Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation.
- Strong documentation skills using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a laboratory environment.
- Automation experience is highly desired, including platforms such as:
- TECAN
- AssayMap Bravo
- Hamilton
- Experience with qTOF mass spectrometers (Agilent, Bruker, or SCIEX).
- Experience with Orbitrap mass spectrometers (Thermo).
- Experience with oligonucleotide bioanalysis.
- Working knowledge of PK, TK, and PK/PD study support.
- Prior experience in drug discovery or drug development environments.
- PhD candidates may be considered only if paired with strong hands-on LC-MS experience and relevant internships.
