About the Role
- The Legal Invoice Analyst II, also known as the QA Analyst, is responsible for performing quality assurance testing for the Legal Bill Analysis Center of Excellence . This role involves auditing electronically submitted legal fee and expense invoices from law firms and vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines. The QA Analyst will conduct expert peer reviews, make necessary adjustments, and engage in communications with law firm vendors to resolve disputed invoice adjustments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct expert peer reviews of invoice analysts' work.
- Audit and adjust invoice line items based on legal expertise and billing guidelines.
- Document justifications for adjustments and corrections to invoice lines.
- Engage in written communications with law firm vendors to resolve disputes.
- Support appeals mediation efforts by analyzing legal concepts and contexts.
- Provide guidance to business unit partners on LBA process issues or opportunities.
Education Qualification
- Juris Doctor
- Law school education or equivalent legal expertise.
Required Skills
- Specialized legal subject matter expertise.
- Experience in law firm or related legal field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in understanding and applying legal billing guidelines.
