Location: Plano, TX, 75024 (Onsite)
Duration: 6–12 Months (Contract)
Working Hours: Standard CST (8/9 AM – 5/6 PM)

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing DevOps engineering team.

Define and own the DevOps roadmap, standards, and best practices across CI/CD, automation, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and configuration management.

Collaborate with engineering leadership to align DevOps initiatives with business objectives.
-
Act as both a technical leader and hands-on contributor.
-
Architect, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable releases.
-
Drive automation across build, test, deployment, and environment provisioning processes.
-
Introduce tools and frameworks that reduce manual effort and improve developer productivity.
-
Maintain and improve existing pipelines and codebases; conduct peer code reviews.
-
Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure for production systems.
-
Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security of cloud environments.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.

Perform cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, and resource governance.
-
Establish end-to-end monitoring, logging, and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and Splunk.

Define and implement SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs to measure and improve system reliability.

Partner with SRE and Support teams to improve incident response, root-cause analysis, and uptime.

Integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

Work closely with cybersecurity and web security teams to ensure compliance with technical solutions.

Ensure adherence to compliance standards such as SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.

Conduct security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and access control audits.

Support development teams building microservices and containerized architectures.
-
Manage Docker and Kubernetes-based platforms.
-
Support QA teams with automated testing frameworks and test environments.
-
Troubleshoot complex system and application issues across multiple domains.
-
7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles.

2+ years of people management or technical leadership experience.
-
Strong expertise in AWS (Azure/GCP experience is a plus).
-
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).

Strong Linux systems, networking, and cloud security knowledge.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).

Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.

Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Strong problem-solving mindset with focus on stability, scalability, and speed.
