Job Title: PE Certified - Project Manager

Location: Baytown, TX 

Schedule: M-F onsite 

Duration: FTE

Start date: ASAP

Pay Range: 110K - 120K per year

Day to Day: 

• This person will be acting both as a Project Engineer and Project Manager
• The first month or so they will be shadowing and learning the "J-Tec" way of Project Management.
• After they will start to take on more projects.
• Can be 3-4 projects at a time, all in different phases.
• Oversee projects in different phases, from design through buildout, ensuring accuracy and tracking progress
• Handle smaller projects independently when needed
• Project Engineer Duties: Communicate with suppliers and address technical questions Fill out equipment lists and verify equipment accuracy, connections, and applications Review process flow diagrams and ensure correctness Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and design teams to prepare project packages Issue and track purchase orders, confirm orders, and follow up on progress Inspect equipment before delivery and arrange transportation to site Collaborate with construction and commissioning teams; visit sites to resolve punch-list items or technical issues
• Project Management Duties: Maintain overall project responsibility and oversight (“helicopter view”) Manage scheduling, budgeting, and timelines
• Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens and Allen-Bradley is what they use) is a plus — not required to program, but understanding how programs are structured is valuable.
• Travel once a year to an International Project Manager Conference located in Belgium 2-3 week trip

Must-haves:

• Active PE License
• GREAT communication skills and fluent in English
• A team player with great organizational skills.
• Independent, flexible and eager to learn!
• Willing to travel on short trips for projects and a 2 weeks training session in Belgium

Education:

• Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters)
• PE Certification

Other Plusses:

• Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens and Allen-Bradley is what they use).
• Programming knowledge is not required, rather understanding what they are, how they are used, and experience with them!
