About Role:

• The Endoscopy Technician 1 supports gastroenterology procedures by assisting physicians and nursing staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• This role requires current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only) to ensure patient safety and effective response during procedures and call coverage.
• Responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms, handling specialized endoscopy equipment, and supporting patient care using aseptic techniques.
• The position plays a key role in maintaining efficient endoscopy operations while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and clinical staff during GI procedures, including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, food bolus, GI bleed, stent placement, dilations, and bronchoscopy.

• Prepare patients and procedure rooms by setting up required equipment and supplies in proper working condition.

• Operate, clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopy and specialty equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Monitor patients during procedures, recognize changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns to appropriate clinical staff.

• Safely transport procedure carts and equipment to various areas within the facility as needed.

• Clean and reset procedure rooms before and after procedures; transfer soiled equipment to the decontamination area.

• Perform routine quality checks on equipment and coordinate repairs when required.

• Maintain adequate inventory, restock supplies, and place timely orders to support uninterrupted clinical operations.
