Job Title: AI/ML Data Scientist Role
Location: Charlotte, NC/ Jersey City, NJ / Plano, TX / Denver, CO
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Client Industry: Banking
Duration: 12-18 Months
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM EST
We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with strong Python, PySpark, and Scala skills to build GenAI and RAG solutions from scratch. This role is for builders, not just users of AI platforms.
What You’ll Do

Design and develop scalable data and GenAI solutions using Python, PySpark, and Scala

Build RAG pipelines, vector search, inference modules, and GenAI APIs end-to-end

Develop and manage AI/ML/GenAI lifecycle (training, fine-tuning, inference, monitoring)

Create API-driven services using FastAPI, JWT, and API Gateways

Collaborate in Agile teams, contribute to story refinement, estimates, CI/CD, and testing
Must-Have Skills
-
Expert-level Python development

Hands-on experience building RAG, MCP, inference frameworks, and vector databases (from scratch)

Strong knowledge of MLflow, Kubeflow, fine-tuning, and inference frameworks

Experience with MongoDB, Redis, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), React/Angular

Strong DevOps skills: Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, pytest, Artifactory, Ansible

Experience working in large, multi-repo enterprise environments
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $60 - $65 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
