Title: Senior AWS Architect (Hands-On Lead)

Duration: Contract -3+Months (with high potential to extend)

Location: New York (4 days/week onsite)

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $90-$100/hour

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• 50% hands-on coding / solutioning, 50% architecture + design.
• Architect enterprise applications using: Angular / React, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, Aurora, Neptune, S3, SQS/SNS, Lake Formation, Glue Data Catalog
• Design high-level architecture diagrams and break down components for engineering teams.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to shape user experience and platform flows.
• Oversee code quality, standards enforcement, and security patterns.
• Participate deeply in technical interviews, including IVS/coding assessments.
• Report directly to Shri and partner closely with engineering leadership.

Must-Haves:

• Senior-level AWS architecture experience with hands-on coding capabilities.
• Strong experience building or architecting Data Portals, Data Catalogues, metadata-driven systems, or DataZone-type platforms.
• Deep AWS expertise across: Compute (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway), Data (Aurora, Neptune, S3, Glue Catalog), Security (IAM, Lake Formation), Messaging (SQS/SNS)
• Ability to design architecture and individually contribute to implementation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; able to work across product/design/engineering.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience building internal portals or developer platforms.
• Background in data governance, data mesh, or distributed data product architectures.
• Prior leadership of hybrid offshore/onshore engineering teams.
