Job Title: Data Architect

Schedule: Standard time(8 AM - 5 PM EST)

Day-to-Day:

• Define and govern cybersecurity data models using Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) to standardize security telemetry from endpoints, IAM, network, cloud, and SIEM sources.
• Develop logical, physical, and conceptual data models using tools such as SAP PowerDesigner and Erwin Data Modeler, ensuring alignment with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Architect and support hybrid data mesh and data fabric solutions, enabling secure, domain-oriented data products while maintaining centralized governance and policy enforcement.
• Implement and optimize distributed data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) for large-scale ingestion, transformation, and analytics of cybersecurity event data.
• Perform data profiling, quality assessment, and anomaly detection using Python MySQL, and Toad to ensure integrity and reliability of security datasets.
• Collaborate with SOC, GRC, IAM, and Cloud Security teams to ensure data architectures support threat detection, incident response, compliance reporting, and audit readiness.
• Define and enforce data security, privacy, and governance controls, including data classification, encryption, masking, retention, and lineage tracking.
• Support regulatory and audit initiatives by designing data structures and reporting frameworks aligned with cybersecurity, risk, and compliance standards (e.g., SOX, ISO, NIST, internal audits).
• Monitor performance, scalability, and security posture of data platforms, proactively identifying risks and recommending architectural improvements.

Must Haves:

•  Experience in Cybersecurity Space including zero trust data architecture and Opens Cybersecurity Schema Framework
• In-depth understanding of data security, data privacy, and data governance concepts
• Hands on experience with data modeling tools (SAP PowerDesigner, Erwin Data Modeler), database management systems, big data environments and ETL tools.

• Data Analysis / Profiling – Python (Jupyterlab, PyCharm, etc.), Toad, MySQL
• Data Platforms – Hadoop, Spark,
• Databases: Relational, Warehouse,
• Knowledgeable in Cybersecurity, Audit and regulatory concerns.
• Strong knowledge of data management principles, data modeling techniques and data integration patterns.
• In-depth understanding of data security, data privacy, and data governance concepts.
•  Hybrid data mesh + data fabric fluency, Starburst/Trino or similar tools
• Strong communication

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $65 - $70 per hour
  This reflects base compensation and may vary based on candidate qualifications.
