About the Role

An Excellent Opportunity for Release Train Engineer to work with one of the Biggest Global Bank at Charlotte, NC location.

 

Must Haves:

  • This position is responsible for optimizing the flow of epics/features and the value delivered by a smaller Agile Release Train (ART). The focus is on serving the needs of the train to drive performance and growth
  • The role involves coordinating and facilitating ART ceremonies, managing dependencies across teams, and providing visibility into the health of epic/feature delivery and the overall program increment
  • The role ensures that impediments to epic/feature delivery are resolved quickly and protects the teams from outside disruptions

 

Responsibilities:

  • Guide and coach the teams on the Agile Release Train on Scrum practices and develop their understanding of Agile principles
  • Help define norms/agreements for the ART and enforce these agreements
  • Coordinate and facilitate ART ceremonies such as Backlog Refinement, Program Increment (PI) Planning, ART Sync or PO Sync, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Retrospectives
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure a healthy product/program backlog
  • Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the ART
  • Promote and facilitate communication and collaboration within the ART to support value delivery and PI commitments
  • Provide status updates and reporting on ART plans, delivery, timelines, and impediments to stakeholders and leadership
  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Change Management and other policy requirements for technology solutions delivered by the ART
  • Measure ART delivery, maturity, and performance, and review metrics with the ART to identify improvement opportunities
  • Capture data to help determine and track product funding and resource acquisition needs
  • Mentor Scrum Masters

 

Required Skills:

  • Effective stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence) and Horizon CI/CD Tools

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management
  • Promote engineering fundamentals such as design, quality, testing, and technical debt visibility
  • Experience with Change governance process
  • Clear, audience-appropriate communication
  • Familiarity/Experience with specific processes is preferred

 

Overview of the Work Being Done:

  • Host quarterly PI planning and ensure readiness
  • Maintain backlog health and adherence to Enterprise Change Management standards
  • Own end-to-end delivery execution of epics and capabilities across multiple ARTs and teams
  • Drive predictable delivery through flow metrics, capacity planning, dependency mapping, and risk management
  • Evaluate team metrics, goals, and performance
  • Coach Scrum Masters on Agile delivery, executive-level reporting, and communication
  • Expert-level Agile knowledge, including dashboards, roadmaps, Jira usage, and dependency management
  • Operate with a mindset of continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Scaled Agile Certified or other Agile certification preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple programs/project and work with multiple RTEs to deliver shared success

 

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $90-$95 per hour

This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
