About Role:

  • Laboratory Technician, support the Maize Transformation team within Crop Transformation Systems, contributing to biotechnology research focused on trait discovery and optimization.

  • Execute laboratory processes that enable the development of transgenic and genome-edited maize plants for product development programs.

  • Work collaboratively in a regulated research environment while adhering to established SOPs, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare explants and perform crop transformation procedures in accordance with standard operating protocols.

  • Conduct tissue culture activities, including sub-culturing during selection and regeneration of transformed plant material.

  • Generate high-quality transgenic and genome-edited plants to support research and development initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate electronic and legal notebook documentation for all laboratory activities and experimental results.

  • Summarize research outcomes, identify process improvements, and communicate findings to the team.

  • Follow all laboratory safety, ergonomic, and compliance standards while executing daily tasks.

  • Organize and manage daily laboratory workflow to meet project timelines and productivity expectations.
Salary and Other Compensation:
