About the Role

We are hiring a Workday Extend Specialist to join our client’s Employee Experience Technology team on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a large-scale enterprise Workday environment supporting Recruiting and Core HCM functions. You will play a hands-on role in configuring, building, and enhancing Workday solutions that directly impact business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and enhance Workday business processes supporting Recruiting and Core HCM functions

• Build and customize Workday Extend solutions from scratch

• Manage and maintain complex data configurations across multiple Workday modules

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Demonstrate completed builds to business teams and clearly explain design decisions

• Work closely with offshore teams to coordinate development and delivery

• Support Workday implementations and ongoing enhancements across day-to-day processes

• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and compliant configurations within Workday

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in Workday Configuration and/or Integration

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Core HCM

• Strong experience with Workday Extend (hands-on development required)

• Ability to independently configure and modify Workday business systems

• Experience building Workday modules from scratch

• Active Workday Certification (required)

• Experience presenting and explaining technical builds to business stakeholders

• Strong communication skills; self-starter with a proactive mindset

• Experience working with offshore or distributed teams

Nice to Have:

• Financial services industry experience

• Prior experience working in large enterprise Workday environments

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $60 – $65 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
