Position: Electrical Engineer
Type (Contract, C2H): 12 month + possible extension
Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay Rate: $50 - 55/hr
Day to day:
- Review project requests and define P&C scope and protection approach.
- Develop engineering scopes, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Identify technical risks, system impacts, and constructability issues.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to align scope before detailed design begins.
- Support P&C engineers by clarifying intent and managing scope changes.
Must haves:
- 6+ years in P&C Engineering or 5+ with PE.
- Strong understanding of substation protection & control systems.
- Experience with high-voltage substations (69kV–345kV).
- Proven ability to coordinate across teams (PMs, operations, engineering, field).
- CAD proficiency- producing drawings/schematics.
