Portable X-ray exams
- The Radiologic Technologist works under the supervision of a Radiologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams on both ambulatory and hospitalized patients.
- Exams are completed based on physician orders and established imaging protocols to help diagnose injuries and medical conditions.

Perform high-quality X-ray procedures efficiently and according to established protocols

Ensure patient safety by following radiation safety guidelines and monitoring radiation dose levels

Communicate clearly with patients using AIDET to explain procedures and ease concerns
-
Verify patient identity, exam orders, medical history, and pregnancy status prior to imaging
-
Position patients correctly and operate imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images
-
Maintain sterile technique and proper hand hygiene during procedures when required
-
Follow infection control, safety, and radiation protection policies at all times
-
Assist with imaging in the OR, trauma cases, and portable exams as needed
-
Maintain imaging equipment and keep work areas clean and organized
-
Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in the imaging system
-
Respond appropriately to emergencies and assist with first aid when needed.

Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision

Strong patient communication skills and ability to keep patients comfortable
-
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
-
Consistent delivery of timely, accurate, and high-quality imaging services
-
Commitment to patient satisfaction, safety, and quality care
-
Ability to work with patients of all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics
-
Willingness to serve as a preceptor and assist with training new staff
-
Flexibility to take call shifts as required.
