Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray / Imaging)
 
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Location: Waco, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8s)
On-Call: Required every 4–6 weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Required Credentials
  • ARRT Certification
  • MRT License
  • BLS (American Heart Association only)
  • Minimum of 2 years of radiology experience
Preferred Experience
  • Fluoroscopy
  • Operating Room imaging (C-arm, O-arm)
  • Trauma imaging
  • Portable X-ray exams
Job Summary
  • The Radiologic Technologist works under the supervision of a Radiologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams on both ambulatory and hospitalized patients.
  • Exams are completed based on physician orders and established imaging protocols to help diagnose injuries and medical conditions.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality X-ray procedures efficiently and according to established protocols
  • Ensure patient safety by following radiation safety guidelines and monitoring radiation dose levels
  • Communicate clearly with patients using AIDET to explain procedures and ease concerns
  • Verify patient identity, exam orders, medical history, and pregnancy status prior to imaging
  • Position patients correctly and operate imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images
  • Maintain sterile technique and proper hand hygiene during procedures when required
  • Follow infection control, safety, and radiation protection policies at all times
  • Assist with imaging in the OR, trauma cases, and portable exams as needed
  • Maintain imaging equipment and keep work areas clean and organized
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in the imaging system
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and assist with first aid when needed.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual [salary/hourly rate] for this position is between $55.00 - 60.00 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
