Title: Financial Analyst

Location: West Point, VA 23181 - Onsite

Duration: 06 months - Contract to Hire

Pay Range: ($35 - $50) on an hourly basis

Must Haves:

• Strong analytical skills / Strong Excel skills
• Familiar with month-end close and JE’s
• Familiar/Comfortable in a manufacturing environment

• The Finance and Accounting organization is a mission and results-driven team that operates with a strong sense of collaboration to support the business, while utilizing our technical expertise, as we manage processes to record, reconcile, and report all financial activity of the enterprise.
• We bring financial context into the picture when partnering with the lines of business, senior and executive management, and our board of directors.

• Perform monthly financial closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Perform monthly cost and variance analysis
• Support and review the accounts payable process
• Complete assigned mill and corporate financial reporting needs
• Support the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process
• Provide support for monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes
• Support activities related to internal and external audit requirements
• Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting, and project support as needed
• Work in conjunction with the Division and Corporate tax teams to identify and track cost improvement opportunities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with an Accounting concentration
• Familiar/comfortable in a manufacturing environment
• Experienced with financial analysis and reconciliation processes
• A minimum of 2+ years of professional experience
• Strong interpersonal skills witha desire and ability to work in a team/collaborative environment.
• Must be proficient in Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and other MS Office products
• Good organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Experience in JD Edwards and Hyperionis  a plus.
