Certification/Degree Requirements: ACLS, BLS, TNCC (Mandatory), PALS/ENPC preferred

Experience:

2+ years Emergency Department experience

Trauma center experience strongly preferred

Epic EMR experience highly preferred
Role Summary
-
The Emergency Department RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for trauma and emergency patients.
- The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care in a fast-paced ED environment

Deliver trauma and emergency nursing care in accordance with clinical standards and protocols
-
Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and recognize changes in condition
-
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate care and patient flow
-
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
-
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR and ensure HIPAA compliance
-
Delegate tasks appropriately and support team-based care
