Description:
The Research Scientist will support discovery-stage biologics research by executing cell-based and protein-based functional assays to enable antibody identification and optimization. This role exists to generate high-quality in vitro and cellular data that supports proof-of-concept decisions across multiple research programs. The scientist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to high-throughput screening strategies. The position requires strong experimental execution, data analysis, and scientific communication.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline with 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience with binding and immunoassays (ELISA, flow cytometry/FACS)
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture
- Experience using automated liquid handling systems
- Experience working with biologics, antibodies, or antibody-like molecules
- Ability to analyze, document, and present scientific data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment
Day to Day
- Execute high-throughput antibody screening and functional characterization assays
- Perform ELISA and flow cytometry-based binding and functional assays
- Maintain and expand cell-based assay systems to support discovery programs
- Analyze experimental data and interpret results in scientific context
- Document experiments and summarize findings for internal presentations
- Troubleshoot assays, instrumentation, and experimental workflows as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple research projects
- Support evaluation and implementation of new screening technologies
Plusses
- Experience with high-throughput screening platforms
- Familiarity with scientific data analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism or FlowJo
- Experience supporting assay automation or technology development.
