Pay Range: $20 to 22 per hour.

Client Industry: Medical Device

Contract Duration: 10 Months (++Possibility of Extension)

Description:
The Quality Assurance Project Specialist supports supplier management and quality assurance programs by maintaining accurate data, documentation, and compliance systems. This role ensures supplier performance aligns with regulatory, quality, and business requirements while supporting product improvement initiatives. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to investigate issues, manage supplier documentation, and resolve quality concerns. The position plays a key role in maintaining approved supplier lists, supporting regulatory compliance, and ensuring data integrity across global operations. High technical competence, strong communication skills, and attention to detail are essential for success.
 
Must Haves:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or a technical related fieldSup
  • Strong experience supporting quality assurance or supplier management programs
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for nutritional products
  • Experience working with supplier documentation, quality agreements, and compliance records
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Day to Day:
  • Create and maintain data, documentation, and systems supporting supplier management programs
  • Monitor supplier compliance and ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of records
  • Correspond with suppliers to obtain required quality and compliance documentation
  • Escalate unusual product or supplier performance issues when appropriate
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve supplier performance concerns
  • Maintain and update global approved supplier listings
  • Prepare supplier exception reports for internal and global review
  • Review labeling information and verify ingredient and allergen accuracy
  • Support risk assessments, product improvement initiatives, and regulatory reviews
  • Assist management with meeting coordination, report preparation, and project tracking
Plusses:
  • Experience with quality assurance in food, nutrition, or consumer products environments
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Exposure to global manufacturing or supplier networks
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Visio, Access, or Lotus Notes.
