About the Role

We are seeking a Lab Technician to join a research laboratory. Under general supervision, the Lab Technician will support scientific research by assisting technical staff with routine laboratory operations and information-handling tasks. Responsibilities will be carried out using established methods and team-provided training.

Key Responsibilities

• Culture and process microbial strains using standard laboratory techniques.

• Extract total protein from bacterial and plant samples.

• Support sample preparation for whole genome sequencing workflows.

• Perform molecular biology techniques, including PCR, molecular cloning, and protein expression.

• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, equipment, and biological samples.

• Accurately track and migrate inventory records into laboratory databases.

• Perform additional laboratory duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline.

Required Skills

• Previous laboratory experience preferred.

• Proficiency in aseptic techniques.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Salary and Other Compensation:
