Job Title: Telecom Decom Field Technician
Location: Dallas, TX (100% Onsite)
Duration: FTE
Pay Range: $15 - $20 per hour
Why is this open: the client recently acquired a telecommunications company and is expanding its decommissioning operations.
Mission: Support our telecom decommissioning hub by safely and efficiently removing, documenting, and processing telecommunications equipment.
Day-to-Day: We are looking for a Telecom Decom Field Technician to support telecom decommissioning projects at client sites and facilities. This individual will be responsible for dismantling and removing telecom equipment, sorting and palletizing materials, and documenting removed assets through labeling, inventory logs, and photos. The technician will use hand and power tools to safely disassemble equipment, load materials for transport, and ensure proper handling of recyclable or sensitive components. This role also requires following all safety procedures, working closely with project teams and site contacts, and supporting travel-based assignments as needed.
Must Haves:
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with telecom or electronic equipment decommissioning, disassembly, sorting, and/or recycling
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools in field environments
- Strong attention to detail with experience labeling, inventorying, and documenting equipment and materials
- Quality background in a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of telecom/electronic components and proper handling, including safety and environmental guidelines
- Reliable, safety-focused team player with good communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
