About the Role**

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, focusing on hardware troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IT support, particularly in large-scale data center environments.

**Responsibilities**

  • Troubleshoot and repair physical hardware, including motherboard swaps and component isolation.
  • Run network cables, check connections, and maintain network layer 1 components.
  • Interact with host systems using foundational Linux skills.
    Work dynamically across teams and campuses, adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Utilize proprietary systems for ticketing and data tracking.
  • Engage with AI tools for ticket synopses and diagnostic suggestions.
  • Follow well-defined processes for newer hosts and rely on troubleshooting intuition for legacy systems.

**Education Qualification**

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not required.

**Required Skills**

  • Strong understanding of motherboards, RAM/DIMMs, and CPU components.
  • Foundational skills in Linux for system interaction.
  • Experience in physical hardware repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to work in large-scale data center environments.
  • Proactive and self-driven with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to influence without authority and work collaboratively across teams.

**Technical "Must-Haves"**

  • Hardware Proficiency:
  • In-depth knowledge of computer components and their interactions.
  • Linux Knowledge: Basic skills for interacting with host systems.

Skillset:

  • Experience in hardware repair and troubleshooting.
  • Network Layer 1- Proficiency in running cables and maintaining network connections.
