Pay Range: $30 to $35 an hour. 

Location: North Chicago IL or Florham Park NJ

Work Type: Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday to Thursday)

Contract Duration: Six months with possible extension based on performance and business needs

Job Summary:
This role supports Record to Report accounting operations within a centralized finance shared services organization. The position focuses on intercompany accounting activities, cash clearing, reconciliations, and month end close support. The analyst partners with treasury and global accounting teams to resolve intercompany balances and banking discrepancies. This role helps ensure accurate financial reporting, strong accounting controls, and compliance with internal and external requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month end close activities including journal entry preparation, cash clearing, and balance sheet reviews.
• Prepare and process intercompany cash transaction requests and perform related clearings.
• Coordinate monthly intercompany netting activities and manual intercompany settlements.
• Review intercompany accounts receivable and accounts payable aging reports and follow up on aged balances.
• Perform intercompany out of balance analysis and assist with issue resolution.
• Research and resolve uncleared cash and unidentified bank transactions.
• Prepare bank reconciliation and open item reports.
• Maintain tracking logs and documentation for bank clearing activities.
• Support audit, tax, and compliance requests including SOX documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 1 to 3 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Hands on experience working with an ERP system
• Strong Excel skills for analyzing large volumes of financial data.
• Experience with account reconciliations including intercompany transactions.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and cash clearing.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or MBA.
• Prior experience supporting treasury related activities.
• Experience working in a shared services or centralized accounting environment.
• Exposure to SOX compliance or audit support activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
