Support Engineer

Day to Day:

Execute test plans and support verification, validation, and environmental testing efforts.
-
Provide technician-level engineering support to Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Automation teams in a lab environment.

Assemble, modify, and maintain test fixtures and lab hardware.

Perform basic PCB rework and soldering support (hands-on experience required, though not a primary soldering role).

Collect, analyze, and report test data; generate summaries and findings for engineers and stakeholders.

Track, organize, and maintain available lab hardware used for testing and validation.

Use lab equipment daily, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.

Review and reference schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Create and maintain documentation in work-tracking systems.

Interface directly with design engineers and lab engineers; communicate status, issues, and next steps clearly.

Step in to support new platforms or projects as needed, with opportunity for increased responsibility over time.
Must Haves: -
Hands-on experience working in a lab environment supporting hardware testing and engineering teams.

Strong customer-facing and communication skills; able to work closely with engineers and act as a right-hand support resource.

Working knowledge of:

Electrical fundamentals (electricity, wiring, cabling)

Reading and understanding schematics

Wireless systems (at a basic to intermediate level)

Experience using lab equipment such as: Oscilloscopes, Digital multimeters, General electronic test equipment

Exposure to PCB rework and soldering (experience required, not a full-time soldering role).

Comfortable executing test plans, supporting validation activities, and handling multiple lab priorities.

Strong documentation habits and experience working with internal knowledge bases (Wiki, Confluence, or similar).
