Job Title: Assistant Director, Engineering & Safety 

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire 

Salary Range: $160,000 – $190,000

Job Detail:  

Key Responsibilities 

• Ensure Show and Ride systems meet clients' specifications, regulatory requirements, and the highest safety standards 

• Supervise and guide technical project personnel, providing leadership and technical direction 

• Drive attraction safety improvements through compliance monitoring, best-practice sharing, and new safety technologies 

• Review and approve engineering-related contracts and legal documentation as authorized 

• Provide direct engineering support to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and creative/business objectives 

• Oversee ADA compliance and support accessibility innovations 

• Promote knowledge-sharing and technical collaboration across parks 

• Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety programs and perform other duties as assigned 

Must-Have Qualifications 

Education 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (required) 

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred) 

Experience 

• 10–12 years of vendor management experience with significant in-field installation exposure 

• 5–7 years of theme park–specific experience strongly preferred 

• Or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
