DAY TO DAY:

Design and implement ETL workflows to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources (RDBMS, APIs, flat files)

Build and maintain data models optimized for Tableau consumption

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and failures
-
Collaborate with BI developers and engineers to align data structures with dashboard needs
-
Implement data quality checks, lineage tracking, and audit logging
-
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into solutions.

Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and key insights that support business objectives.

Conduct data validation and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Document data sources, logic, and user guides.

Work closely with front end visualization engineers to ensure seamless data integration.

Conduct user acceptance testing and provide training/documentation for dashboard consumers.
MUST HAVES
-
7+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering and ETL development

3+ years in a large enterprise environment

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL tools

SSIS, Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi

Experience with cloud data platforms

Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse

Experience with analytical tools (Tableau, Power BI)

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling

Strong understanding of data governance and security practices

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.

Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing long-running batch jobs

Proficiency in optimizing performance with large datasets.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
