About the Role
- We are seeking a skilled professional for a Terraform Software Production Support position.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing production support for automation tools, with a focus on Terraform Enterprise.
- This role involves Terraform development and administration, system administration (primarily Linux), and integration with other automation tools such as Horizon, Ansible Platform, and GitHub.
- A strong understanding of SDLC processes and tools, cloud infrastructure as code, APIs, YAML, HCL, and Python is essential.
- The role also requires operational experience in monitoring systems, incident, and problem management.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Terraform for development and administration tasks.
- Review and maintain Bitbucket feature files and branches, and manage branching strategies.
- Evaluate Azure and AWS services and use Terraform to develop modules.
- Optimize deployment processes to deliver reliable solutions.
- Collaborate with technical leads and architects to address challenges faced by Product Engineering teams.
- Contribute to solving real production engineering challenges as part of a dynamic team.
- Enhance knowledge in DevOps Cloud Engineering using enterprise tools and contribute to project success.
- Develop programming or scripting skills in Python/Powershell.
- Ensure system deliverables meet quality objectives in functionality, performance, stability, security, accessibility, and data quality.
- Provide work breakdown and estimates for tasks to meet project timelines.
- Apply Agile/Scrum methodology in project execution.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibit attention to detail and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Challenge development approaches and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills.
- Possess strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Implement and maintain automation to improve code logistics from development to production.
- Assist the team in instrumenting code for system availability.
