Pay Range: $43 to $46 per hour

Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is a key contributor within the finance team supporting monthly consolidation and financial reporting activities. This role partners closely with operational teams to ensure accurate day to day and month end accounting processes. The individual will own assigned accounts and maintain deep knowledge of related financial statements. The position emphasizes process improvement documentation and analytical insight. The ideal candidate is detail oriented service minded and comfortable operating in a structured deadline driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements ensuring accuracy completeness and variance analysis.
- Prepare review and approve journal entries in alignment with accounting standards.
- Own assigned account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop strong understanding of business operations.
- Conduct document and improve complex financial and accounting processes.
- Analyze financial data using aggregation statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
- Ensure internal financial reporting is accurate actionable and decision focused.
- Present financial results variance drivers and business insights to leadership.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis special projects and strategic initiatives.
- Review journal entries prepared by junior staff and provide guidance.
- Train mentor and support development of junior accounting team members.
- Assist with financial audits tax audits and internal control documentation.
- Coordinate complex accounting initiatives across finance and cross functional teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience.
- Extensive experience with month end close activities.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Enterprise tools.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
Preferred:
- CPA or MBA.
- Experience with business analytics or data analysis tools.
- Experience supporting accounting processes in regulated or scientific environments.
