Job Description:
Our retail technology client is looking for a Visiting Faculty & Engineering Program Consultant who will build and mentor a brand-new hardware engineering intern program, providing hands-on guidance in device engineering while establishing long-term best practices.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and run the daily structure for two hardware engineering interns.
  • Teach interns how to break open and analyze physical devices (like camera hardware).
  • Help them understand components, wiring, and how everything fits together.
  • Guide them to create schematics and solve real device problems.
  • Document best practices so future interns can follow the same system.

Must-Have Experience:

  • 5+ years of real-world hardware/device engineering experience.
  • Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Strong hands-on experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading junior engineers/interns.
  • Comfortable building structure where nothing exists yet.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with camera or imaging hardware.
  • Previously built training programs or curricula.
  • Worked with universities or academic environments.
  • Strong documentation and process-building mindset.
