Job Description:
  • This position has been opened to support ongoing consolidation, reporting, and month-end close activities within the Rapid Diagnostics finance organization.
  • The resource will be a key contributor to the finance team, partnering closely with operational stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
  • The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting professional who can independently manage complex accounting processes while also mentoring junior staff.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required (CPA or MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and month-end close processes
  • Experience with SAP preferred; exposure to business analytics tools is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and structured environment
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, accountability, and ability to manage ambiguity
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and variance analysis
  • Prepare and review journal entries and support month-end close activities
  • Own and prepare assigned account reconciliations with a deep understanding of financial statement impacts
  • Conduct and document complex financial and accounting processes, including data validation
  • Partner with internal customers to develop strong business and operational knowledge
  • Interpret financial results independently using analytical and statistical techniques
  • Present financial reporting and variance explanations to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Support ad hoc analysis, special projects, and complex accounting initiatives
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including financial and tax audits
  • Document and monitor internal controls to support audit readiness
  • Review the work of junior staff and provide training and mentorship
  • Identify, recommend, and drive process improvements across accounting workflows
