Position Title: Accountant
Location: Lake Mary, FL 32746 (100% Onsite)

This position has been opened to support ongoing consolidation, reporting, and month-end close activities within the Rapid Diagnostics finance organization.

The resource will be a key contributor to the finance team, partnering closely with operational stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting professional who can independently manage complex accounting processes while also mentoring junior staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and month-end close processes
- Experience with SAP preferred; exposure to business analytics tools is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and structured environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accountability, and ability to manage ambiguity
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and variance analysis
- Prepare and review journal entries and support month-end close activities
- Own and prepare assigned account reconciliations with a deep understanding of financial statement impacts
- Conduct and document complex financial and accounting processes, including data validation
- Partner with internal customers to develop strong business and operational knowledge
- Interpret financial results independently using analytical and statistical techniques
- Present financial reporting and variance explanations to leadership and key stakeholders
- Support ad hoc analysis, special projects, and complex accounting initiatives
- Assist with internal and external audits, including financial and tax audits
- Document and monitor internal controls to support audit readiness
- Review the work of junior staff and provide training and mentorship
- Identify, recommend, and drive process improvements across accounting workflows
