Job Title: Technical Program Manager - Network Capacity & Data Center Expansion

Job Location: Arlington, VA; Seattle, WA;  Dublin, Ireland

Job Duration: 11+ Months Contract to Hire

Pay Rate: $60.00/hr to $75.00/hr

Job Description:

Role Focus:

  • Project coordination for border network and optical capacity expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • Hardware logistics, resource coordination, and issue escalation.

Scope:

  • Not involved in deep technical design; focus is on managing scale.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualifications: Project management qualification (PMP preferred).
  • Education: A degree is flexible for candidates with strong experience and a PMP.
  • Technical: High-level network understanding (switches, routers, firewalls) is a plus, but deep technical knowledge is not required.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, ownership, and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Technical Bar: Roles are for "Technical Project/Program Managers." HM isn't looking for deep engineers but requires people who understand networking infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, data centers).
  • Experience:3–5 years of project management experience is preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP or other certifications are "nice to have" as a sign of initiative, but Andy prioritizes hands-on experience over formal credentials.
  • Projects:The contractors will support Border Network and Optical Capacity Expansion projects.
  • Logistics:The hiring manager (who manages the East Coast/Dublin teams) will likely interview together to streamline the process.

Candidate Profile:

  • The ideal hire is a "hungry" TPM with 3+ years of experience and a project management qualification (PMP preferred). A degree is flexible for strong candidates.

Interview Process:

Round 1: Team members conduct initial interviews.

Round 2: Hiring manager conducts the final interview for promising candidates.
