Description:

The Medical Reviewer plays a key role within Medical Affairs, supporting the development and execution of medical strategy for assigned therapeutic areas. This role ensures accurate, compliant, and scientifically sound review of medical and promotional materials while aligning content with current clinical data and disease state knowledge. The Medical Reviewer partners closely with Commercial, Medical, and cross-functional teams to support scientific communications, congress activities, and medical education initiatives. The position exists to ensure materials and activities are relevant, compliant, and valuable to physicians, patients, and payers.

Must Haves

• Scientific degree with 3–5 years of clinical, scientific, research, or pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience
• Hands-on experience reviewing medical and promotional materials for accuracy, compliance, and scientific integrity
• Strong understanding of medical, legal, and regulatory guidelines governing promotional review
• Experience or demonstrated ability to rapidly learn hematologic malignancies or complex disease states
• Proven ability to clearly communicate medical review rationales to Commercial and Medical stakeholders
• Experience supporting or managing medical congress activities and cross-functional coordination

Day to Day

• Conduct accurate and compliant medical review of medical and promotional materials
• Ensure alignment of content with clinical data, scientific evidence, and regulatory standards
• Use medical review platforms to manage review, approval, and documentation workflows
• Communicate review decisions and scientific rationale clearly to Commercial and Medical teams
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Field teams to align messaging
• Support development, review, and approval of digital and non-digital medical materials
• Coordinate and support congress planning activities, including booth content and logistics
• Act as liaison between internal teams and external vendors for congress execution
• Participate in post-congress debriefs to capture insights and improve future initiatives
• Contribute to launch readiness and ongoing medical affairs projects

Plusses

• Advanced scientific degree (MS, PhD, MD/DO, PharmD, NP, MSN)
• Direct experience in hematologic malignancies (e.g., CLL, BPDCN, or related areas)
• Experience using Veeva PromoMats, medical communications platforms, or CRM tools
• Background in medical education content development or digital learning initiatives
• Experience supporting global or matrixed medical affairs teams
