About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Load Balancer Engineer to join our client’s Network Engineering and Application Delivery team on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the most innovative banking institutions in the U.S. You’ll play a critical role in designing and supporting highly available, enterprise-grade load balancing solutions that power mission-critical financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain complex load balancing solutions using F5 technologies

• Configure and manage F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager) and GTM/DNS modules

• Develop and implement advanced F5 iRules to control traffic flow, manipulate HTTP headers, and optimize application delivery

• Architect high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for enterprise banking platforms

• Troubleshoot network, application, and performance issues related to load balancing and traffic routing

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery

• Automate operational tasks using Python and other scripting languages

• Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning for F5 infrastructure

• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and enterprise standards

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in load balancing and application delivery engineering

• Expert-level hands-on experience with:

  • F5 LTM

  • F5 GTM / DNS

  • F5 iRules

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts including SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, routing, and switching

• Strong programming/scripting experience in Python (mandatory), along with Java, TCL, JavaScript, jQuery, or Perl

• Experience with traffic manipulation, header rewriting, persistence profiles, and SSL offloading

• Proven troubleshooting experience in complex enterprise environments

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $65.00 – $70.00 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
