Job Title: Production Technician

Job Location: North Reading, MA, US
Job Duration: 9 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $17/hr to $19/hr + $200 bonus every 3 months

1st Shift: 6:15 AM – 2:45 PM

Job Overview

You will support the production of complex electro-mechanical equipment, including hands-on assembly of robotic components, material handling, or a combination of both. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Electromechanical Assembly:

• Prepare and assemble components by studying blueprints, instructions, and parts lists.

Material Handling & Assembly Support:

• Move, stage, or deliver materials.

• Operate pallet jacks or carts.

• Assist with kitting, labeling, and organization.

• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and scanning.

Quality & Safety:

• Perform quality inspections and document actions.

• Follow production and quality procedures consistently.

• Prioritize safety by adhering to manufacturing procedures and safe work practices.

Team Collaboration:

• Support supply inventory management.

• Work closely with associates, managers, and engineers involved in builds.

• No direct customer interaction required.

Training & Ramp-Up

• Onboarding covers three core areas before placement in production or material handling based on strengths.

• First week focuses on fundamentals.

• Goal is to reach a high proficiency level within a couple of months.

Must-Have Hard Skills (Top 3)

• Knowledge of power tools and small hand tools

• Ability to read instructions and execute steps accurately

• Basic computer skills for data entry and manufacturing software use

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to stand 7+ hours per shift and lift up to 30 lbs

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks

• Comfortable working in a mechanical, team-based environment

Preferred Skills

• 1+ year of manufacturing experience

• Familiarity with ERP, MES, or inventory management systems

• Understanding of manufacturing documentation and safe material handling practices
