Job Title: Java Developer

Location: Seattle, WA; Plano, TX
Work Arrangement: 3 day in office with 2 day WFH
Client Industry: Banking 
Duration: 12 -18 months Contract 
Schedule:  Monday to Friday 

Day to Day:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using Java 17 and Spring Framework 6.

• Build and support microservices architectures, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability across distributed systems.
• Develop and enhance front-end features using ReactJS in collaboration with UX and product teams.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications in Kubernetes/OpenShift or cloud-based environments.
• Work closely with database teams to design, query, and optimize Oracle databases for high performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, including memory leaks, high CPU utilization, thread contention, and system bottlenecks.
• Support Tier 0, high-traffic applications, ensuring uptime, stability, and rapid incident response.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end, from design through deployment.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain engineering excellence

Must Haves:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development.

• Strong proficiency in Java 17 and Spring Framework 6.
• Solid experience developing front-end applications using ReactJS.
• Extensive experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other cloud-based container orchestration platforms.
• Proficiency with Oracle databases, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and resolving application performance issues such as memory leaks, high CPU utilization, and thread contention/locking.
• Proven experience supporting and developing high-traffic, Tier 0 / mission-critical applications.

Hourly Rate: 65$-68$ per hour 
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
