Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Scientist to support parenteral drug product process development within a large enterprise environment. This role focuses on sterile injectable manufacturing, formulation optimization, and stability evaluation of small molecules and biologics. The ideal candidate will design and execute scientifically rigorous studies to ensure robust dosage form development. The position requires strong regulatory understanding, cross functional collaboration, and clear technical communication. This is a high impact role supporting manufacturing readiness and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support process development activities for parenteral drug products including small molecules and biologics.
- Define and optimize syringe filling parameters within sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
- Design and execute studies evaluating chemical and physical stability of oxygen sensitive products under various stress conditions.
- Assess the impact of pH, ionic strength, temperature, light, and moisture on product performance.
- Evaluate manufacturing related stresses including freeze thaw, mixing, filtration, filling, and lyophilization.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and propose follow up experiments based on findings.
- Document scientific results clearly and contribute to technical reports and regulatory documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree with 7 or more years of experience in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering,
- Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field or Master degree with 3 or more years of relevant experience or PhD with relevant experience.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or sterile product filling.
- Experience supporting parenteral injectable drug product development.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for injectable products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with prefilled syringe development.
- Experience with oxygen sensitive formulations.
- Experience working with biologics or complex injectable products.
- Experience with lyophilized dosage forms.
