Job Title: Materials Planner
Location:  San Antonio TX 78221
Duration: 1 year of contract
Pay Range: $26hr.-$28 hr. max

• Immediate Change: Mandatory 10-hour workdays this week.
• Current Schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (including lunch).
• Future Schedule: Transition to 4/10 schedule (Monday – Thursday, 10-hour shifts).
• Bachelor’s Degree with no prior experience person can also apply.

Work Environment Requirements

• Steel-toed shoes are required at all times while on site.
• No jewelry allowed due to the plant manufacturing environment.

Role Overview

• This role is part of the Material Planning Team at a manufacturing facility, where Class 6–8 commercial trucks and electric vehicles (EVs) are built.
• The consultant will support material planning activities and ensure efficient coordination between production, engineering, and purchasing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials throughout the production cycle.
• Determine material requirements based on engineering specifications and production schedules.
• Coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering teams.
• Develop specifications for new contract orders.
• Maintain procurement system data integrity.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and parts/commodity numbers within supply chain or enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with no prior experience required OR At least 2 years of experience in shop order planning and purchasing.
