Job Title: Service Mesh Engineer 

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Client Industry: Banking

Duration:12-18 Months (Possibility of Full-Time Conversion)

Must haves:

• 2+ years of experience with Hashi Corp
• 1+ years of experience with Service Mesh (must know Consul)
• Python scripting experience for REST/JSON applications using Flask, FastAPI
• Agile experience
• TDD experience (test driven design)
• CICD pipeline experience and Jenkins
• Experience in a large enterprise environment

Key responsibilities include: 

• Understanding the existing application services and ensuring they meet microservice requirements
• Designing a Service Mesh using HashiCorp Consul to provide resilient, secure, scalable and easily deployable services for the application
• Working with the development team to bring the existing application services into the service mesh
• Working with the development team to handle account vaulting
• Understanding development and testing practices of the bank and adhering to all security policies from development through deployment.
•  Contributing to story refinement/defining requirements and designing solutions.
