Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 day onsite
Client Industry: Fortune 500 Tech Client
Duration: 18 Months Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM EST
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer with strong SQL development skills to design, develop, optimize, and support database-driven applications. The candidate will work closely with application developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-performance, scalable database solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and cursors

Write and optimize complex SQL queries for high performance and scalability

Perform query tuning and performance optimization using execution plans and indexing strategies
-
Develop and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes, sequences)
-
Handle data migration, data validation, and reconciliation
-
Support production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes
-
Collaborate with application teams to integrate database logic with applications
-
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices
-
Prepare technical documentation and follow SDLC processes
-
Participate in code reviews and database design discussions
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL development
-
Excellent hands-on experience with Oracle SQL
-
Expertise in performance tuning (indexes, hints, partitioning)

Experience with stored procedures, triggers, and packages
-
Strong understanding of relational database concepts
-
Experience with data modeling and normalization
-
Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting
-
Experience using SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar tools
-
Knowledge of ETL processes is a plus
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $68 – $70 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
