Job Title: Service Mesh Engineer

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Duration:12-18 Months (Possibility of extensions)

About the Role:

• We are looking for an experienced Microservices Service Mesh engineer/architect with practical experience in transitioning a service-based application to use HashiCorp Consul. 
• The existing application uses Python FastAPI/Flask running on Linux servers in a VMware virtualized environment.
• Expert with microservice architecture using HashiCorp Consul service mesh
• Fluent in Python for REST/JSON applications using Flask, FastAPI
• Fluent with Agile methodology and using Jira to create user stories, track requirements, design and development
• Competently documents solutions and is able to discuss them with other teams
• Experienced in Test Driven Design (TDD)
• Experience with large enterprises and scaling to meet its needs
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
• Experience with OAuth Authentication / Authorization Protocols¿

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $55 – $60 per hour

This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
