Job Title: Sustainability Waste Coordinator
Location: Stanfor d , CA 94305 - Onsite Role
Duration: 06 Months (Extension/Conversion based on performance)
Pay : $37-$38.00/ hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Type: Fully onsite
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a Waste Coordinator to support planning and coordination efforts for the Give & Go program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support waste operations across R&DE properties, including service rightsizing, vendor coordination, waste diversion, and performance monitoring
- Assist in implementing strategies to reduce landfill waste and increase diversion through donation, reuse, and material recovery programs (e.g., Give & Go, surplus donation)
- Track and analyze waste metrics, prepare reports, and identify operational improvements
- Design signage and support outreach/communication for sustainability programs
- Coordinate with Facilities, Housing Operations, and other teams on sustainability initiatives
- Perform additional duties to support overall sustainability goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination)
- Strong communication skills
- Driving is required
