Internal Auditor

Salary Range: 50.00 - 60.00 | Per Hour

Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite - Mon–Thurs)
Work Hours: ~30 hours/week (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM PST)

Plan and execute internal audits from start to finish

Perform risk assessments and identify key controls
-
Conduct audit testing and evaluate effectiveness of controls

Document audit findings, results, and recommendations
-
Assess business processes and recommend operational improvements
-
Support audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas
-
Collaborate with audit team members and stakeholders
-
Ensure timely and accurate audit deliverables
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
-
Experience in internal audit or public accounting
-
Strong knowledge of:
-
Risk assessment
-
Internal controls
-
Audit testing methodologies
-
Experience working with business process evaluations
-
Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Background with Big 4 Accounting Firms, Fortune 500, or public companies

Professional certifications such as:

CPA (Certified Public Accountant)

CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)
-
CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or fraud investigation experience

Proactive and self-starter mindset

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure
