Job Title: Technical Recruiter (Hiring for Backend SDEs roles)

Job Location: Arlington, VA 22202

Job Duration: 11 Months Contract

Pay Rate: $42.00/hr to $45.00/hr

Job Description:

  • Support the client recruiting team in hiring additional Backend Software Development Engineers (SDEs).
  • Client is actively hiring for a variety of specialized SDE roles, and the recruiting team needs additional support to help manage the growing hiring demand.

Day to Day:

  • Sourcing and reaching out to potential candidates through calls, emails, and RPS to introduce opportunities with the Client.
  • Reviewing resumes, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews with hiring managers.
  • Partnering closely with the client recruiting team to understand hiring needs, track candidate progress, and ensure a smooth interview process.
  • Maintaining candidate pipelines, providing updates to stakeholders, and helping create a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.

Must-Haves:

  • 3-6 years of experience recruiting for SDE or technical roles
  • Familiarity with AI or AI-related hiring
  • Strong sourcing skills (LinkedIn, GitHub, etc.)
  • Scrappy, self-starter with a hustle mindset
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Note:

  • The manager would like to see candidates who come from staffing firms, big tech companies, or startups.
  • He does not want to see resumes from candidates who are currently working at government agencies (e.g., SAIC).
  • The ideal experience level is 3–6 years of recruiting experience.
  • The manager’s team specializes in L5 and L6 SDE hiring for client, so candidates need to have a strong understanding of different SDE levels and technical hiring acumen.
  • Strong communication skills are very important, as recruiters in this role will need to push back on hiring managers at client and coach them through the SDE hiring process.
  • People who tend to be successful in this role usually have a sales-oriented mindset, which is why the manager prefers candidates with staffing or startup backgrounds.
  • I will be vetting many of these areas during the screening process, but if recruiters can help assess some of this upfront as well, that would be extremely helpful.
