Position Title: Deployment Engineer – Automation Controls Systems
Location: Nashville preferred; - 50% travel 
Duration: 6-month Contract
Pay Range: $40 - $46/hr

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Deploy and commission automation systems.
• Program and modify Allen Bradley PLC logic supporting conveyor and sortation systems.
• Perform system commissioning, IO checkout, and validation during automation deployments.
• Troubleshoot automation systems impacting material handling operations.
• Configure routing logic and control workflows for conveyor and warehouse automation systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams during system startup and production cutovers.

Work distribution typically includes:

• ~40% commissioning and deployment work
• ~10% troubleshooting production issues
• Remaining time focused on system configuration, logic updates, and deployment planning.

Must Haves:

• 4+ years of deployment & controls programming experience.
• Strong Allen Bradley PLC programming experience (ControlLogix / Studio 5000).
• Basic scripting ability (Python preferred) and comfort working in live production environments.
• Experience commissioning material handling automation systems in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
• Background working with conveyor and sortation control systems
• Ability to program PLC logic from scratch, not just troubleshoot existing code.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with industrial automation and controls systems.
