Job Description:

Join the team to lead the critical verification and validation (V&V) of next-generation sensing systems. You will own the integration of BLK30 and ASTRO2 cameras into our collection vehicles, ensuring these complex drone systems operate with absolute reliability in real-time environments.

The Role:

This is a high-impact Individual Contributor role focused on the intersection of hardware, software, and AI. You aren't just running tests; you are designing the framework for how new features are validated, integrated, and rolled out.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Develop: Build and implement software for drone systems using multi-threaded programming in C++ and Python.

  • Own the V&V Lifecycle: Establish V&V strategy and thresholds, develop comprehensive test plans, execute testing, and report results for complex sensing systems.

  • System Integration: Work within Linux/RTOS (Yocto) environments to integrate sensors and embedded applications.

  • AI Validation: Implement and validate AI-driven features, ensuring high reliability and performance in autonomous systems.

  • Documentation: Produce professional-grade technical documentation and architectural roadmaps for feature integration.

Technical Core Requirements

  • Languages: Expert-level proficiency in Python or C++ (specifically for system-level or embedded development).

  • Embedded Systems: Proven experience with hardware/software integration, specifically involving cameras, sensors, or robotics.

  • Cloud & Tools: Strong familiarity with AWS tools and pipeline development.

  • Environments: Hands-on experience with Linux kernel system calls, multi-threaded programming, and RTOS.

  • AI Fluency: Ability to demonstrate how you have utilized AI in development and, more importantly, how you ensure the reliability and validation of AI outputs.

Education & Experience

  • Degree: BS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Test, Systems, or Embedded Engineering.

  • Backgrounds of Interest: We are highly interested in candidates from Aerospace, Robotics, or specialized hardware teams

Soft Skills & Values

  • Dive Deep: You enjoy getting into the weeds of troubleshooting and debugging complex systems.

  • Invent & Simplify: You look for ways to make testing processes more efficient and scalable.

  • Extreme Ownership: You work independently with minimal supervision and take full accountability for the quality of the rollout.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with Robotics navigation or perception systems.

  • Familiarity with internal client systems or AWS pipeline architecture.

  • Prior work with drone platforms or autonomous vehicle sensors.
