About the Role
We are looking for an advanced CNC Programmer to join our team in a high-mix prototype and production environment. The role involves creating comprehensive manufacturing packages, including NC code, setup sheets, and simulation files, for 3-axis, 5-axis, and mill-turn machines.
 
Pay - $45/hr to $50/hr
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop optimized NC code for various machining operations.
  • Create detailed setup sheets with necessary tooling, fixturing, and work offset information.
  • Generate and verify simulation files before production release.
  • Deliver complete manufacturing packages for execution on the shop floor.
  • Design custom fixtures and workholding solutions for complex parts.
  • Optimize workholding strategies to enhance efficiency and part quality.
  • Collaborate with machinists on fixture implementation and refinement.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for optimal machining performance.
  • Balance cycle time reduction with tool life and part quality.
  • Support transitions from prototype to production with scalable programming solutions.
  • Work closely with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot programming issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance on machining capabilities and limitations.
 
Education Qualification
  • Relevant technical education or equivalent experience in CNC programming and machining.
 
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of advanced CNC programming experience.
  • Expert-level workholding and fixture design capabilities.
  • Proficiency in programming 3-axis, 5-axis, and mill-turn machines.
  • Ability to deliver complete manufacturing packages, including NC code, setup sheets, and simulation files.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and cutting strategies.
  • Experience working in ISO 9001 certified environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Mastercam and ESPRIT programming software is advantageous.
