Job Overview:
Collabera is seeking a Bilingual Production Support Consultant to support critical, 24/7 applications within a high-availability production environment. This role is heavily focused on incident management, monitoring, and operational support, ensuring system stability and performance across financial transaction platforms.
 
This is not a development role—the ideal candidate will proactively monitor systems, respond to alerts, troubleshoot production issues, and work closely with business and technical teams to resolve incidents within defined SLAs. The role also includes involvement in change management and operational deployments, including after-hours and weekend support.
 
The ideal candidate brings strong foundational technical knowledge across infrastructure, databases, and cloud/container environments, along with the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
 
Day-to-Day:
  • Monitor production environments and respond to alerts/incidents in real time
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across applications, infrastructure, and data layers
  • Work closely with business and technical teams to investigate and resolve incidents
  • Manage incidents based on SLAs and priority levels
  • Support change management and deployment activities (including after-hours/weekends)
  • Execute operational deployments end-to-end (including production to DR transitions)
  • Perform technical validations post-deployment to ensure system stability
  • Support project-related deployments in collaboration with project teams and PMs
  • Monitor application health using APM tools and system metrics
  • Perform log analysis and system checks across distributed environments
  • Work in a 24/7 support model with rotating shifts (day/evening/weekend flexibility required)
  • Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency in troubleshooting and operational workflows
 
Must Haves:
  • 2-3 years of production support work 
  • Strong experience with Unix/Linux for basic troubleshooting
  • SQL database experience (ability to read and interpret queries; not required to write)
  • Basic networking knowledge
    • Firewalls (iptables, firewall-cmd)
    • Network troubleshooting
  • Exposure to Azure cloud environments
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift / container platforms
    • Docker and container lifecycle
    • Cluster management
    • OpenShift CLI and command-line operations
    • Container networking (SDN, ingress controllers)
  • Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools
    • Application and database performance monitoring
    • Web service health checks
  • Experience with file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS)
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, PowerShell)
    • Ability to read and understand scripts
  • Experience supporting financial transaction-based systems
  • Exposure to AI tools for general productivity and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish
    • Ability to explain technical concepts in Spanish
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
