About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced OSBL Area Superintendent to join our team at a field construction organization in Sulphur, Louisiana. This full-time office/project-based role involves supervising and directing multi-discipline construction operations, with a strong emphasis on high-voltage electrical systems and piping installations in a heavy industrial environment. The successful candidate will oversee subordinate superintendents and other personnel as assigned.

**Responsibilities**

  • Establish, coordinate, and implement area construction schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements, focusing on electrical power systems, high-voltage infrastructure, and piping installation sequencing.
  • Control expenditures for labor, equipment, material, and services to ensure field operations remain within budget.
  • Provide overall supervision of personnel within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Offer leadership and technical oversight for field construction activities related to high-voltage electrical installations, piping systems, and associated mechanical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate all activities within the OSBL area and manage a team of superintendents, field engineers, and others to achieve daily goals and construction milestones.
  • Monitor progress and ensure timely installation of modules, interconnecting components, electrical systems, cable routing, power distribution infrastructure, and stick-built commodities.
  • Lead safety, accident prevention, and fire prevention programs on the project.
  • Coordinate daily with the ISBL Superintendent and interface managers.
  • Actively participate in the 28-day / 120-day IAP schedule.
  • Perform work in a brownfield area and liaise with operations to safely execute construction activities.
  • Communicate with operations on interface work activities, particularly involving electrical tie-ins, energization activities, and piping interfaces.
  • Conduct area-wide schedule, interface, and performance meetings with discipline superintendents to establish and maintain a coordinated plan and efficient performance of work.
  • Set area priorities and resolve conflicts between disciplines, including electrical, piping, mechanical, and civil construction activities.
  • Resolve problems and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and others to ensure the timely implementation of solutions.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with specifications, installation standards, and schedules.
  • Implement corporate/project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned operations.
  • Coordinate activities with other disciplines or areas and clients' resident representatives as instructed by construction management.

**Education Qualification**

  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

**Required Skills**

  • Extensive field supervision experience (10+ years) overseeing electrical and piping installation activities in major industrial or energy infrastructure projects. Strong leadership and coordination skills to manage multi-discipline construction operations.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in managing safety and accident prevention programs.
  • Experience in brownfield construction environments and liaising with operations for safe execution of activities.
