Position: GIS Analyst
No. of Openings: 2
Location: Fort Worth TX (3 days/week in office)
Duration: Long term contract with potential FTE

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day to day business needs for visualization maps and report creations
• Responsible for but not limited to, data creation, correction, and extraction, and application configuration
• Responsible for reviewing data quality and performing minor data edits
• Facilitate the acquisition and importation of external data sources into the company's GIS datasets
• Participate in the testing of changes, enhancements, and upgrades to the company's Transmission GIS
• Perform data extractions from the GIS data sets on an ad-hoc basis
  Track and update status on individual tasks assigned
• Assist in the testing of changes and upgrades to the company's Transmission GIS system
• Document processes and establish procedures to accomplish assigned tasks
• Become knowledgeable of all standards created for the company's Transmission Information System (OTIS) web and mobile modules
• Able to use and understand the functionality of the company's Transmission Information System (OTIS) web and mobile modules.
• Document and report QA/QC issues of 3rd party provided data
• Assist in the development and delivery of OTIS training materials to end users
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by end-users of the company's Transmission GIS
• Learn and utilize 3rd party tools, such as Admin Tools, to support the management of the company's Transmission GIS
• Learn and follow internal standards to utilize and maintain the company's Transmission Information System (OTIS) web and mobile modules
• Ability to assist in OTIS maintenance windows, including occasional nights and weekends

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related subject, or equivalent experience preferred
• (2) years of experience in GIS methodologies using ArcGIS software
  Experience in using ArcGIS Desktop version 10.7 or higher, and ArcGIS Pro 3.0 or higher
• Basic understanding of GIS concepts, image interpretation, and conveying GIS/spatial information to non-GIS/technical people
• Able to work independently while adapting to rapidly changing goals and prioritizing accordingly
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) as it relates to training and knowledge transfer of information.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  Knowledge of electric transmission infrastructure is preferred but not required
