Overview
Collabera is seeking a hands-on .NET Backend Engineer with strong production microservices experience to support a live, revenue-impacting retail platform.
This is NOT a traditional MVC or monolithic WebAPI role.
We are looking for someone who has personally built, supported, and troubleshot microservices in production and can independently stabilize distributed systems.
There are no senior developers on this team — strong ownership and problem-solving ability are critical.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop backend features using .NET Core
  • Build and maintain microservices and REST APIs
  • Contribute to modernization of legacy components
  • Troubleshoot and resolve live production issues across services
  • Review logs, trace requests, and identify root causes
  • Manage Pull Requests and CI/CD workflows
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration

Must-Haves
  1. 3–5+ years of hands-on backend development using C# / .NET Core
  2. Proven production experience building and supporting microservices
  3. Strong understanding of service-to-service communication (REST, events, messaging)
  4. Experience troubleshooting real distributed system production issues
  5. Practical knowledge of API Gateway patterns and service authentication
  6. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines (YAML creation & updates)
  7. Experience integrating Azure Key Vault into CI/CD workflows
  8. Strong Git fundamentals (PRs, merges, conflict resolution, pipeline triggers)
  9. Experience with structured logging, correlation IDs, and distributed tracing
  10. Strong SQL Server skills (joins, aggregations) and ability to debug in Visual Studio
