Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in supporting production operations by resolving technical challenges and driving process improvements within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position focuses on enhancing safety, quality, delivery, and cost through data driven decision making and hands on engineering support. The role requires strong collaboration with cross functional teams and frequent interaction with production operators. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong problem solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to execute tasks independently. This is an excellent opportunity for early career engineers to gain exposure to real time manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operators, technicians, and cross functional teams to improve process efficiency and reliability.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring production challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, process optimization, and waste reduction.
- Evaluate the impact of engineering changes on systems, equipment, and processes before implementation.
- Document technical findings and support validation and verification of solutions.
- Contribute to improving equipment performance and overall manufacturing output.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Electrical or related Engineering discipline
- Zero to five years of experience in manufacturing or engineering role or equivalent education
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across teams
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Willingness to work on the manufacturing floor and interact with operators
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with A3 problem solving and structured improvement tools
- Prior internship or hands on experience in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to production equipment or process optimization projects
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
